1、熔体采用片状变截多断口结构，为使开断能力增强。开断速度加快，开断绝缘可以*建立。对搞过电压冲击能力得到改善。
2、RN3型系列高压限流熔断器。为了使其能与FN5负荷开关配合工作。完善了批示的基本功能。
3、按国家标准草案GB15166.1-5——《限流式熔断器》中的试验方法，可开断20-150MVA的短路容量，而RN1型只能开断40-80MVA的短路容量。RN3型可配合FN5开断过载电流。开断过载电流。
